The Social Media Trance

Are we living among the walking dead? Have you notice the great effect social media has made it has caused great impact on our daily lives? Well I have and its kinda sad to know that we as human beings lost the connection of communicating .

It wasnt that long ago that the only form of reaching out to people was a land line and now cellular phones have demolish that for many. Now I understand the need to communicate on the go because as a country we are busy daily, what is sad is we abuse it. Its like a drug to keep your cell phone out your hand because the world is right in your palm, so many distractions that we sometimes neglect what really matters for a facebook update or to find out what some celebrity said on twitter or worst updating a picture on instagram while driving.

So people lets put down the cell phones, ipads and any electronic that take up quality time with family and socializing the old fashion way by exploring the real world because somewhere we lost touch with communicating and its just not worth it all the time.

SHE'S GOING HOME

Like the rest of the world I watched the funeral for Whitney Houston. The baptist church was very fitting for Whitney, it was a home going, a celebration of her life, legacy, music and her love for everyone she came into contact with. Whitney was loved by many and that love can never fade even with her body physically not here. Whitney loved the lord and it was very clear through everyone that spoke, having her service at her childhood church that first discovered THE VOICE was fitting. It showed that her mom raised her to be a God fearing woman even through the storms that life brings us. The service was filled with love in song and kind words from the people that knew her as Nippy the down to earth girl from Newark New Jersey. Every moment touched me I had tears for Whitney some sad tears, some happy tears but what I learned from Whitney is that life is short and we must cherish every waking day with our love ones and help those in need even if you don't know them because someone bigger than you and I will hold us accountable for everything we do while we are here on this earth. So though Whitney has gone home to be with the Lord I feel she will hear well done from God because she touched the world through music, laughter, grace and above all love. If I can say anything to Whitney it would be thank you for sharing your voice with us now it's time for you to sing in the Lords presence finally you can rest in peace Bravo Bravo, I will always love you. May God continue to bless her family and most especially her beloved daughter Bobbi Kristina, Mrs. Cissy Houston thank you for your beautiful child she's home now.

R.I.P TO A LEGEND THE GREAT WHITNEY HOUSTON

AUGUST 9, 1963-FEBRUARY 11, 2012
I've been at a lost of words over the last couple days not knowing the words to describe one of the best voices God blessed us to hear. As I sit here reflecting, morning yet celebrating the life of Whitney Houston it all takes me back to when I was a little girl growing up in a house full of music. My father being a musician would always play (now that I think about it) timeless artists, the artist that you knew their music would last forever, Whitney was at the top of that list amongst the greats.
She was and will forever be know as "The Voice" the Queen of Pop. Her music touch us all in one way or another even through her struggles. She made her mark in our hearts with her songs and THE VOICE. I can't believe that she is gone from this world but I'm grateful that we have her music to cherish forever. I send a prayer to her daughter, her mother and all her family, friends and fans.
God has special plans for each and everyone of us, its up to us to determine what those plans are and how we can use them to help better someone else. Through her music Whitney gave us that, she gave and blessed us with her gift from God and though she made had faced tough times it showed she was human but she never gave up because she knew her talent was her gift to share which in terms pleased God. I want to personally thank Ms. Houston for teaching me what music is suppose to sound like. what beauty looks like, what being a human feels like know matter what your circumstances may be. She was strong until the very end and I pray her daughter sees the strength her mother had to fight and in time it can give her the same courage to carry her mother's true identity on as one of the greatest singers of all time THE VOICE.
